The following are the specific test methods, test steps and inspection standards of dishwasher testing for our wholesale custom stainless steel water bottles.
I. Purpose of dishwasher testing
By putting the stainless steel drinkware (water bottles, jugs, cups, tumblers, flats and food containers) into the dishwasher and see if there are any problems like the color on the surface fades or changes or the heat preservation fails to function properly, and whether there will be cracks and rust on some metal parts, we can ensure that the products can be put into a dishwasher without damaging the quality.

Remark: If the customer’s standard is lower than this standard, this standard shall be used; If it is higher than this standard, the customer’s standard should be implemented.
IV. Application scope
1: All parts that need cleaning (water bottle/cup/flask/tumbler/lunch box, lid, silicone bottom, etc.) should be tested.
2: Each component that needs cleaning must be tested in the dishwasher for at least 5PCS.
V. Number of required cycles
10 cycles or according to customer requirements
Duration of each cycle: 90 minutes
VI. Dishwasher testing steps
- Before the test, make an appearance inspection and take photos of the stainless steel drink bottles(vacuum flasks, tumblers, mugs, pints, growlers, beer coolers, koozies, food containers, cups, dog bowls, lunch boxes etc) used for dishwasher cleaning, then pay attention to whether there is chipped paint, poor plastic spray, defected logo printing, rust, etc., and make records.
- Put the product upside down at the bottom of the dishwasher and add Cascade dishwasher detergent *20g for washing.
- Turn on the dishwasher, select the “Heavy” mode of the dishwasher for cleaning test and start washing. Each washing should last for 90 minutes. When the dishwasher is running, the personnel in charge of the testing from the quality department need to check whether the monitor sound is abnormal.
- After the test, turn off the dishwasher and open the dishwasher, then take out the sample and wait for 30 minutes for it to dry.
- According to the operation steps (2-4), “cleaning” and “drying” once is regarded as one cycle. 10 cycles are required in total.
- Check whether there is any abnormality in the stainless steel drink bottles, and take photos to compare with the initial inspection results.
- After 10 cycles, let it rest for 6-10 hours, and then carry out the adhesion test. The specific method of this test is as follows: use a 1mm standard grating and a utility knife to draw a 100PCS square, and the depth of the cut should show the substrate; use 3M-610 special adhesive tape to adhere to the grating area, get the bubbles out, and quickly pull the tape up at an angle of 45 degrees to observe how much the coating is falling off. The edge of the cut is completely smooth and the grating edge is not coming off.
- Check whether there is any abnormality in the stainless steel drink bottles, and take photos to compare with the initial inspection results.
- File the testing report.
